The artisan carpentry workshop Ziranu by Balvis Francesco is located in Orani, just a stone’s throw from the Nivola Museum. With decades of experience in the design and creation of furniture, fixtures, and staircases, it stands out for its attention to detail, continuous research into new finishes, and selection of high-quality raw materials. Francesco Balvis'' carpentry is a dynamic reality, dedicated to serving the customer, who is guided in choosing the desired custom-made product with suggestions and proposals that only an experienced artisan can offer. Kitchens, wardrobes, chests of drawers, entrance doors, and railings take shape, bringing warmth and character to homes and spaces with the unique charm that only expertly crafted wood can provide.

The mastery of traditional Sardinian carving is reflected in the creation of chests, cutting boards, small boxes, and trays that adhere to local craftsmanship standards—both in the use of native woods such as chestnut, juniper, pear, and olive, and in the colors and motifs, including the fiore (flower) and pavoncella (little peacock).From a passion for inlay work and years of experience in carving, a creative workshop was born within the carpentry, dedicated to artistic craftsmanship inspired by the heritage of Sardinia. It embraces the most traditional and recognizable Sardinian carving techniques, interpreting the deep and authentic soul of a proud and strong island. This essence blends history and tradition with charm and color, infused with innovation and a vision for the future.
